WHAT IS AN ENTREPRENEUR?
A person who organizes and manages a business or industrial enterprise, taking the risk of not making a profit and getting the profit when there is one. Or, one who undertakes to start and conduct an enterprise or business, usually assuming full control and risk.

THIS WORKSHOP EXPLORES COMMON MISTAKES MADE BY MARRIED ENTREPRENEURS
The most common mistake married entrepreneurs make is to rush into business without careful thought and discussion of how their business dreams will involve and affect their family. Why does this happen?

  • Blind enthusiasm
  • Running away
  • Egocentricity
  • Fear or inability to communicate
  • Blissful naiveté

The most common mistake partners of entrepreneurs make is to offer unconditional support from the beginning, in concept, without thinking through the implications of such a lifestyle change. Why does this happen?

  • Well intended support
  • Star struck
  • Lack of knowledge or awareness
  • Fear or inability to communicate
  • It’s better than nothing
  • They weren’t asked

Business experts stress the importance of creating a thorough business plan before starting a new business. One should prepare a family plan as well before becoming an entrepreneur.  If your spouse or significant other is attending conference, sign them up.
